3Rs Construction is Salem Oregon's Dry Ice Blasting Specialist for Cleaning and Restoration
OUR DRY ICE BLASTING SERVICES
If you are unfamiliar with dry ice blasting, it is the only form of blasting that is non-abrasive. Unlike sand, soda, or walnut shell blasting, using dry ice doesn’t leave any chemical or other type of residue, because it sublimates at room temperature leaving behind nothing but a clean surface, the removed material and a fog that dissipates quickly.
The frigid temperature of the dry ice (-109.3°F or -78.5°C) "blasting" against the material to be removed causes it to shrink and lose adhesion from the surface it's stuck to. Then it's carried away by air pressure.
Dry ice is easily the best method to clean most surfaces, including graffiti, industrial equipment, food handling machines, mold and dry rot remediation, art work, and even the surface of delicate historical buildings without damaging the structure.
